The funds raised will not only go toward building and distributing localized science kits but also toward ILP’s ongoing project of setting up child friendly active libraries to increase reading skills throughout the primary and secondary schools.
The science kit contains experiments that are mapped to concepts being covered in state syllabus for 5th to 10th grade. More than 150+ experiments can be done using the kit. The kit focuses not just on the experiment, but more importantly understand the concepts behind them. They help children, not just question why, but also question why not. The cost of each science kit is $20.
Each Library kit consists of a set of books with bookshelves and includes local language and dual language stories and the cost for these library kits range from $400 to $500.
